For a Better Gut Feeling

Depending on how it's made, kombucha can contain live cultures and can be integrated into your personal enjoyment routine as a fermented beverage. In everyday life, we often forget how relaxing small moments of well-being can be. In the 7-day kombucha challenge, we give you a small routine every day that you can then incorporate into your day, combined with a bottle of kombucha.

You don't need much for this. Just a week with some free time and a desire for kombucha. How you feel after a week is individual. The challenge is primarily intended as a conscious routine of enjoyment and daily life, connecting kombucha with small personal moments of well-being.

Day 1: Drink kombucha and enough water

Today, on day 1, have a bottle of your favorite kombucha for breakfast. Also, make sure to drink enough throughout the day. Your individual fluid requirements depend, among other things, on body size, activity level, temperature, and diet. Kombucha complements your morning routine as a fermented refreshing drink with millions of active cultures.

Day 2: Alkaline bath and kombucha

Take an hour for yourself today and treat yourself to an alkaline bath with candles and kombucha. Alkaline bath salts can be bought at pharmacies or drugstores. A warm bath can be perceived as a relaxing ritual and help you consciously switch off. Even after sports, warmth can be perceived as pleasant. However, a special "alkaline" effect or targeted acceleration of muscle regeneration cannot be generally derived from this. Kombucha, with its characteristic sour taste, also fits well with this conscious moment of relaxation. The perfect combo!

Day 3: Get some fresh air and reward yourself with kombucha afterwards

Today we're heading out for some fresh air. Whether you live in a big city or in the countryside, there's always the opportunity to break out into nature for an hour. Take an hour for a relaxed walk in the forest or simply in the park next door and then treat yourself to a chilled bottle of kombucha.

Day 4: Self-Love Meditation

Today we celebrate your feelings and consciously allow emotions. Open the windows in your home and let some fresh air into your four walls. Take half an hour to listen to yourself. How do you feel today? What moves you? How is your gut feeling? What do you feel like today? Do you do things because you think you have to? Breathe deeply in and out and feel inside yourself. Afterwards, you can slowly enjoy a bottle of kombucha and signal to your body that you are there for it and ready to listen to it.

Day 5: Alkaline Soup and Kombucha

Tonight, we're having this delicious alkaline carrot soup for dinner. A chilled bottle of kombucha makes a sparkling accompaniment.

Day 6: Yoga Stretching and Kombucha

Today your body gets a good stretching program. You don't have to be a professional yogi or super athletic for this. Instead of a yoga mat, you can also use a blanket as a base or a comfortable carpet. Afterwards, you can treat yourself to a bottle of kombucha as a small moment of pleasure and consciously start the day or end the evening.

Day 7: Enjoy Kombucha Mocktail with Friends

You can be proud of yourself and the past few days. To end the week, there's a delicious alcohol-free kombucha mocktail with your friends. For 2 people you need:

  • 1 bottle of ginger
  • Juice of 1/4 lemon
  • 2 lemon slices
  • 1 tsp basil
  • Syrup
  • Mint leaves for garnish

Sharing moments of happiness is much more fun than enjoying them alone. Did you know that our body produces 6 different happiness hormones (serotonin, dopamine, norepinephrine, endorphins, phenethylamine and oxytocin)? They influence your physical and psychological well-being and are sometimes even called endogenous drugs.
