Kombucha as a DIY Beauty Ingredient
Many people know kombucha primarily as a fermented tea drink. Fermented ingredients and bacterial cellulose are also used as unusual ingredients in DIY beauty routines and individual cosmetic products. In this post, we'll show you various creative ways to use kombucha and SCOBY.

Face Mask – DIY Skincare with Kombucha
The combination of SCOBY, kombucha, and coconut oil creates an unusual DIY mask that leaves skin feeling pleasantly nourished. Especially during colder days, you should give your skin extra care.
What you need for 2 applications:
- 100 g Scoby
- 15 ml Original Kombucha
- 15 ml coconut oil
Here's how to do it:
First, chop the Scoby and half of the kombucha in a blender. Then, slowly add the coconut oil and mix everything into a creamy paste. Before applying the face mask, we recommend thoroughly cleansing your face with water. Now, the mask can be applied evenly to your face. After letting it sit for about 10 to 20 minutes, you can carefully rinse off the mask and then pat your face dry.
Caution! Make sure the mask doesn't get into your eyes, as it could sting.
